The
Cultural and Performing Arts Division successfully provides a full range of cultural and social enrichment programs for residents
of all ages and interests.
PRE-SCHOOL
PROGRAM The Pre-School Program
is designed to develop a readiness for kindergarten with emphasis on social skills. Enrollment is open to children three-
to four-years old. Call CAPA for information.
MUSICAL PROGRAMS
The Distinguished Artists Concerts, the Great Sounds of Jazz, Music Under the Stars and the Children's Music-Go-Round
series and Children Summer Performing Arts performance, offer free musical programs for general audiences throughout the year.
Performances are held at local schools, libraries and, during the summer, at community parks and beaches. Brochures listing
seasonal performances are available from CAPA. In December of each year, the Town's Annual Holiday Concert
is presented for three nights at the Tilles Center on the campus of Long Island University, C.W. Post.
ROTATIONAL ART EXHIBITS
Rotational Art Exhibits give local artists and crafts people an opportunity to display
their work in libraries, banks and businesses throughout the Town. Juried art shows, co-sponsored by CAPA anwww.tobac.org d the Suburban Art League and The Independent
Art Society offer local artists an opportunity to compete with peers in their fields.
WORKSHOPS
CAPA Workshops are held in the fall and spring each year and offer a wide variety of cultural, artistic
and self-improvement courses at nominal costs. The workshops are held at community centers and libraries throughout the Town.

ARTS COUNCIL
The Tobay Arts Council promotes and supports the arts within the Town of Oyster Bay. Guided by a
volunteer Board of Directors, the Council provides non-profit member organizations with services that include a bi-monthly
newsletter and calendar of events, all for a nominal membership fee.

Summer Camp Program

All Welcome
We offer a summer
camp program at our Massapequa location specifically designed for children ages 3 through 6.
The
camp is available to everyone, whether they are enrolled in the Montessori program during the school year or not.
The
camp hours are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for 7 weeks, beginning the 1st week in July and ends the second week in August.
Children
can attend either three or five days a week. Busing is NOT provided.
Every effort is made to make this affordable for the parents and enjoyable for
the children. Activities include:
Ceramics,Woodworking, Science Lab, Puppet Making & Puppet Theatre, Special
Event Days, Arts
& Crafts, Playground On Premise, Special Guest Days, (Magician and Face Painting, Animal Show, etc.)
